iQuila Virtual Extended Network (VEN)
Using iQuila VEN solves the problems which bedevil the installation of standard VPN connections and a VEN can be established in minutes using existing network equipment. iQuila will encapsulate and tunnel communications and layer 2 to Ethernet. When iQuila VEN is used network devices such as network adaptor, switching hub and layer 3 switches are created by the software and by connecting iQuila VEN highly flexible layer 2 connections are established which were never possible before.
iQuila VEN can communicate using a number of protocols but when using TCP/IP any port number can be designated including port 443 and by using TCP/IP can communicate through the majority of gateway devices and VEN can be established through most types of NAT proxy servers and firewalls. Because it is no longer necessary to open a hole in the existing firewall setting network security is not degraded due to security modifications.
When iQuila (VEN) cloud client is installed it creates a virtual network adaptor on the client host and on boot up of the device a layer 2 connection is made to the iQuila cloud server prior to user login, All communications are encrypted and the remote windows device becomes subject to NT domain/Active directory & GPO restrictions which also enables the complete management of the remote device as it is now part of the corporate network.
