Legal Tech StartUp Focus
After four decades practicing corporate law at New York City law firms and several years co-helming a legal tech startup, Charlie founded and now hosts Legal Tech StartUp Focus (LTSF) (www.legaltechstartupfocus.com), a free online community with over 800 members worldwide who are passionate about legal tech startups.
As LTSF host, Charlie is an evangelist not only for legal tech startups’ success, but also for the success of their investors and customers. With the aim of promoting that success, LTSF has attracted as members: startup-founders, lawyers and other legal professionals, venture investors, law professors and law students, as well online commentators on the legal tech scene. LTSF members trade ideas, seek and give advice and discuss all aspects of startup funding and management.
With a website, mobile app, newsletter and podcast, LTSF is the online home for legal tech startups and their investors and customers.
Buying Legal Tech from Startups the “Right Way”
Legal tech startups are often the most innovative developers of legal tech applications. Yet, law firms and company legal departments often only reluctantly purchase tech from startups because of concerns about the startups’ survivability, after-purchase support and ability to maintain/improve the purchased software. This seminar allays those concerns by offering tech buyers tips for “due diligencing,” transacting with and deriving win-win outcomes from legal tech startups.
