Mike Westcott Rudd
HM Land Registry
Mike Westcott Rudd is Board Legal Adviser to HM Land Registry. He is also the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and heads the Corporate Legal, Indemnity and Assurance Group.
Mike is responsible for ensuring that HM Land Registry has appropriate spending and legal controls in place and for the maintenance of proper standards of corporate governance. He has been responsible for drafting all key legislation for HM Land Registry for the past ten years as well as providing advice on EU law, IPR and competition law and employment and contractual matters.
As SIRO, Mike has overall responsibility for cyber security within HM Land Registry – protecting a register of over 24 million titles. He also heads the Knowledge and Information Management team, developing policy for sharing HMLR’s datasets.
The future of Land Registration
The seminar will cover progress against our five year Business Strategy, designed to make dealing with HMLR simpler, cheaper and quicker. It will include progress on digitisation of the register and stated aim of comprehensive registration.
