Following a sold-out debut, LegalEx Manchester returns to the Deansgate Hotel on the 24th February 2027, with a renewed partnership with the Manchester Law Society.

AI is reshaping legal work, client expectations are shifting and legal teams are under pressure to adapt. But change rarely happens in isolation.

That was the thinking behind LegalEx Manchester, which brought more than 300 legal professionals together on the 5th February 2026 for a day of ideas, debate and shared experience.

Fran Eccles-Bech, Manchester Law Society’s former Chief Executive, described it as a “brilliant event”, praising its thought-provoking sessions and keynote from Darryl Cooke on innovation in law firms.

Cooke’s keynote set the tone for a programme exploring AI governance, the evolving role of legal teams in business strategy, operational efficiency and the skills needed to navigate change.

Beyond the stage, attendees compared experiences, challenged assumptions and discovered fresh ideas to take back to their teams. For suppliers, it was an opportunity to hear directly from legal professionals about the challenges they need to solve.

The partnership continues in 2027. Carla Jones, Chief Executive of Manchester Law Society, said:

“Manchester has a strong legal community, with people actively looking at how the profession can develop and respond to change. Our partnership with LegalEx brings those conversations together, giving members the chance to learn from others, explore new ideas and build connections beyond their usual networks.

The first event showed a real appetite for this kind of discussion in Manchester. We’re pleased to continue the partnership and look forward to bringing the community together again in 2027.”

The conversation continues on the 24th February 2027 at the Deansgate Hotel. Join legal professionals from across the region to explore what’s changing, what’s working and what comes next.
